The Washington Department of Labor and Industries Wildfire Smoke Rule requires employee notification at this unhealthy for sensitive groups air quality threshold. Supervisors must make N95 respirators available to outdoor workers for voluntary use; however, employees are encouraged but not required to wear N95 respirators under voluntary use provisions. All outdoor workers must complete the Wildfire Smoke training journey in Percipio. For additional information please visit EH&S’ Wildfire Smoke webpage, and for employer requirements, please review SPPM 2.63.
