WSU Alert and Door Locking Test scheduled for March 6, 2018 at 11:45 a.m.

The WSU Office of Emergency Management will be conducting the spring semester test of the WSU Alert system on the Pullman campus Tuesday, March 6 at 11:45 a.m. Faculty, staff and students associated with the Pullman campus who have signed up for emergency notifications will receive text messages, phone calls, emails, and desktop alerts on select computers which will be clearly identified as a test. Expect ice and snow on roads if you are traveling back to WSU Pullman this weekend. Travel at safe speeds, increasing following distances. On social media, you can find the latest WSDOT information at WSDOT Passes, WSDOT, and WSDOT Facebook. Drive slowly and increase following distances this weekend. Be prepared for delays and possible pass closures. Fill your fuel tank, and leave prepared with blankets, snacks and water. Hazardous weather conditions in Pullman and surrounding areas. Poor road conditions with high wind warning in effect until 10pm. Winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. Locally, gusts could approach 65 mph.

Traveling during this time will be extremely difficult. Exercise extreme caution and use your best judgement if you need to travel.

Winter Storm Warning Issued Feb 14, 4AM to 12PM

The Spokane National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect at 4 AM February 14th, until 12 PM. Heavy snow is expected, with total snow accumulations of 4-8 inches on the Palouse. Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Increase your following distance and drive carefully.
