This is a test of the WSU Alert System. On October 12th at 12:05 p.m. test notifications were sent out to WSU students, faculty and staff who were signed up to receive alerts through MyWSU. Notifications were sent out via text, phone call and email. The campus outdoor warning sirens were tested. Most computers associated with WSU also received a pop-up notification. The WSU Alert system was created to disseminate time critical safety information to the campus population. WSU encourages students, faculty and staff to be personally AWARE of developing incidents, ASSESS each emergency individually, and ACT to ensure their own safety.
