Warning and Notification on the Pullman Campus for Students, Faculty, and Staff-Internal Resources
In times of crisis, or when other critical information needs to be shared with WSU students faculty, and staff on the Pullman campus, emergency information and guidance will be provided through various channels including one or more of the following:
- Campus Outdoor Warning System consisting of siren tones and public address announcements for for those outside in the core campus area
- Crisis Communication System with direct emergency notifications to students, faculty and staff via land line and cell phone using voice and text messaging and email. Requires Registration for WSU phone and email as well as personal home land line phones and cell phones and non-WSU email--Go to myWSU portal to Register, now! (myWSU link at top of the page)
- WSU ALERT e-mail messages sent to all faculty, staff and student e-mail addresses that appear in the WSU online telephone directory. Check here to make sure that your e-mail address is included.
- WSU ALERT Web message posted to the WSU ALERT Web page here.
- Emergency message on the WSU ALERT telephone hotline at 509-335-2345.
- WSU Today Web site will carry detailed information about an emergency situation as soon as possible. View it here.
- WSU Announcements will let you know of new articles at WSU Today and other emergency information as appropriate. Sign up today for this valuable listserv.
- Verbal information and instructions from supervisors, others in charge of units, residence hall counselors, or other appropriate people.
- Campus Spotlight in the myWSU portal will carry the emergency information and/or directions when the situation affects many parts of the campus. Start here.
- Targeted notices in the myWSU portal will be used for emergency messages for specific units of the Pullman campus. Make sure to set up your myWSU account and choose all the groups relevant to you. Start here.
