Local law enforcement and fire departments will meet on the WSU Pullman campus to conduct a series of training exercises May 30–June 2.

On May 30 and 31, officers from the WSU, Pullman, and Colfax police departments, as well as deputies from the Whitman County Sheriff’s Department, will participate in joint exercises simulating active shooter scenarios.

An integrative response training for police, fire, and emergency medical service staff will take place June 1 and 2, orchestrated by the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center at Texas State University.

All of the trainings will take place at Wilmer/Davis Hall.

Signs will be posted in the affected area to notify those in the vicinity. A number of emergency response vehicles will be parked in the area, and passersby may hear the sound of blank or paint rounds being fired as part of training exercises.
