High Wind Warning

March 11, 2026 4:10pm

The National Weather Service has announced a High Wind Warning for Pullman and the surrounding area. Southwest winds of 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph are expected this evening through Thursday morning. These conditions will increase the risk of falling trees and power outages – please exercise caution when traveling outdoors.

If you observe hazardous conditions on campus, such as fallen limbs or debris, contact Facilities Services at 509-335-9000. If these conditions are emergent, please call 9-1-1. Any changes to campus operations will be communicated via WSU Alert.

Ongoing COVID-19 response at WSU Pullman

UPDATE 8/21/20 5:30 p.m.

Officials have seen a substantial increase in COVID-19 cases in the Pullman area among ages 18-24. Everyone is urged to comply with the Governor’s established orders, particularly with wearing of face coverings and that gatherings are not to exceed ten (10) individuals in Phase 3.
